Installing the Same App Over and Over

I have Android 2.3.4 (because VerizonWireless is too lazy to upgrade.) Every time I update an app from the Play Store I get a reminder a few days later to install the same update again, and then a few days later I'll get another reminder for the same update and then another...this goes on for weeks until Android (or something) decides that I really did install the update, and then I'm finally left alone. Any way to stop the reminders from happening?

Open the Play Store, go into Settings, and disable notifications. You'll then have to manually check for updates yourself.

same thing happens to me on 4.1, 4.2 and 4.3 lol i update then get the same update a few days later

<lol> So there's nothing particularly wrong with my phone [HTC D'Inc2] or my version of Android [2.3.4]. This is just a charming feature of the Play Store.

In that case, I guess I can live with it.
