Root Installing Theme

So I just installed the ApeX RC2 thing. I was going to install a custom theme (Tom's blackbarmod or Fab's NexTheme). How exactly do you install a theme? Is it the same as ApeX? Still really new to this. Help is greatly appreciated.

you flash it like you would a rom through recovery. but no need to clear cache or anything.
