Root Installing themes?

dumb question... but just can't find the answer

I've followed tutorials for rooting my phone, followed tutorials for backuping my phone, followed tutorials for installing ad switching roms on my phone.

But all the "theme" tutorials seem to be about creating themes... :(
So I settled for one of the CMD7 ROMs. works fine, but is incredibly ugly! I hate the boot animation and the square buttons, and the keyboard, and the colors... I found quite a few cool themes around the web for CM7. How do I install them?

thanks!

ETA: PS. how much memory and battery will a custom theme take up?

Themes in phone language are called launchers. The best ones that I know so far are Go launcher and ADW launchers. But if you have CM7 installed you can search for CM7 themes and quite a few should come up.
Unfortunately launcher do take a lot of space (About 7-10mb). I wouldn't say they use too much battery use.
But if your phone is rooted, I suggest Link2sd. That should sort your memory problems,

thanks :) in the meantime, figured it out.. installed a few adw themes, since adw.launcher was included and I figured I didn't need to bother with changing it. I'm pretty happy, except that I still can't seem to them/skin the status bar, the system menus such as as "settings", the menus (with the button)... will keep looking.

I also installed a cm7 theme from play store, but it takes up some 16 mb! so I don't think I'm going to go with that...

unfortunately, the issue of installing the great themes I saw posted on here remaines :(

Yeah status bar doesn't change unless you use the CM7 themes (They have orange, blue, red, purple...). And you need Theme chooser to be able to change it. They don't take that much space. I currently have the orange one so my battery, time network...are all in orange :D

So I use the CM7 theme to change the color and use Go launcher. I find that they have more themes to choose from. Unfortunately didn't find a way of removing ADW without causing the phone to crash so don't try it!
