Instant email?

I have a Samsung Galaxy S2 Skyrocket. It's my first Android, I've been using a BlackBerry Torch for the last year and a half. My emails do not show immediatley, is there a way to fix this? I have the setting on check every 15 minutes but on my old phone it was instantaneous.

If your email provider has IMAP support, then use that instead of POP. With IMAP you "should" be able to enable push mail service.
