Help Insufficient Storage Space Available

What the hell is this garbage, is anyone else running into this issue when updating apps? I have more than enough space available to install the update, so what's the problem? I've never had so many problems with a phone between service and the actual phone itself.
 
try clearing the playstore data and cache. I havn't had really any issues with the phone, Working better than the Esteem on stock

from what i see it says your almost at 4gb full of apps. That's not much space left. Probably not enough for the app/s you are trying to install
 
Ok lemme put it like this, you have 4.2 (or something) of gigs in your internal storage, it looks like you've got less than half a gig left if I'm reading that right. All those apps you have and the system that runs your device"NEEDS" so much space to run smoothly, by cramming your device with apps and whatnot to that point your essentially slowing your phone down. I'd advise to go through and move whatever you can to your sd ie pics music etc. Also you can set the browser to send it's dl content straight to sd (that'll help if you dl from the web a lot) and go through and delete any unnecessary apps. Your running almost its entire storage with just apps, surely you don't need 3.5 gigs of apps on your device..

I only have 47 apps how does anyone need more than 100?

The point is not that he has more than 100 apps installed. I think it is that he can not have as many as he wants! Why can we have what every other phone has, the ability to port over installed apps onto a max size of 32GB External SD Card!!!!!

Isn't the main advantage to having an Android is the customization and flexibility of not being conformed into a box.

This is a huge issue for me as you can see. I have difficulty being told by the "man" what i can or can not do.

IMHO, i feel that this is just as an important issue as when we got root. And more so than cust roms or other eye candy..........
 
The small onboard memory was known well ahead of time here.

Why did you pay money then to allow The Man to enslave you with such a terrible POC phone?

You are absolutely correct OcalaFlGuy, thx for calling me out on this.
Don't get me wrong i feel that this is a really good phone. And i see everyone's point about having the 4GB of internal space should be ample. What i tried to emphasize is that I thought being we (especially here) are always testing the limits and then some. Something as non functional problem of not liking the bootup metro hello hello crap on other versions of phones seemed to get more attention than this functional issue. Personally for me it might be my OCD of knowing that i have an enormous amount of free space not being used. Even tho i will probably never run out of the internal :)

And i did do a lot of research on this phone prior to selling my Esteem and jumping onboard. Like, i did not purchase it till there was at least root. I was my fault to "assume" apps like app2sd would not function unless there was a ROM similar to cryangen's

I'm medically diagnosed with Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder and it doesn't bother me. So umm I think you just like to complain. lol;)
 
Wondering. Why does it slow sd card for apps in app info?? And what does the usb storage thing for? Lol.. thing..

Because some apps can be natively moved to sd if the dev allows it, apparently this app is entirely on internal memory, nothing but a small part of the app data is on your card.

Well people, I used an App called Link2SD on my Optimus M with Great Success! That phone had like 250M internal and I ALWAYS ALWAYS had about 150 available with that app on there AND, I had over 280 App's including the ones that came with phone! Try it out- I'm going to after I root(Link2sd needs root permissions). Hope this Helps Ya....

That will not work with our phone. I too had the optimus m. Loved it.
