insufficient storage space message

I have a samsung galaxy sch-m828c I don't understand why all of the sudden, I will just download two games and get this message. I see other phones like mine that other people have with a lot more apps with the SAME games I had! This didn't start happening until a few months ago. For example, I had BMX Boy,Skater Boy and Cermic Destoryer and another game called Dolphin all downloaded at one point and didn't get that message. I deleted them all...I beat both BMX and Skater and dolphin and just got bored of Cermic destoryer and here recently I downloaded all four of them because I couldn't find another game to play ....or at least tried to and I couldn't download all four because it wouldn't let me , because of the Low storage message I got after I only I downloaded both bmx and skater boy. Whats the problem all of the sudden?

when you're downloading apps, the APK gets stored somewhere in your phone. You may have not realized, but the file sizes of these apps may have increased. Everytime you download and install, the APK stays for a while until manually deleted, or automatically removed over a short time. If the file is too large, and you download a lot at the same time, a lot of large APKs get stored in the device, giving you that low memory error if it reached a certain threshold.

If freed up a lot of space by doing:

Settings > Applications > Manage Applications > Maps > Uninstall updates

Your dalvik cache may be too big (there's ALOT of data stored there). Mine approaches 100mb sometimes. If you're rooted, a custom recovery can wipe these files, letting you start fresh. If you're not, there may be a no-root app for that.
