Help insufficient storage?

maybe once a day or so I get this "insufficient storage" when downloading or updating an app. So upon repeating the reinstall or update it goes through fine. When I had the incredible I understood this to be common because the "data" folder was limited in storage space but the droid x is not plagued by this issue, my data folder says 5.75 GB free. I've used 817.65 MB. so what's the deal?

Currently I have 152 apps, none are installed on the sd card.

Any help with this would be excellent. Thank You

I have seen this seemingly exact issue maybe twice. Both times were with application updates from amazon's app store. I figured it was a bug with Amazon in some way.

There is probably an app using up most of the storage space it is allowed to use. Check the apps you use most often, you might have to do a clear data and cache for an app or 2.
