Companies make big money on getting insurance. High percentage don't actually need them. Tabs, like computers -- if they're going to break, it's usually very early. You'll get covered under the default warranty.
After that, just be careful. Not to belittle anyone who gets insurance but its a waste
And to someone who said, "you're paying top dollar for a tab, what's an extra 120" -- hmm. That makes no sense.
I agree with this for the most part - generally speaking, extended warranties are a waste of money. However, in the past I have gotten a lot of use out of extended warranties on my laptop (it experienced more than its fair share of spilled drinks). So I dropped the $120 on the BB warranty for the Xoom. Because it is so mobile, I could easily see it slipping out of my hands, being bumped off of a table, etc., and don't want to be out $800. Especially since the portfolio case seems so flimsy, but that's another topic.
