hey guys i was watching tv and saw one of those commercial u keep seeing and keep trying to remember to check out their website but keep 4getting anyways i went to protectyourbubble.com just to see what they were about and to my surprise they offer cheap insurance for mobile devices even metro phones i just got a quote from them for only $7.99 now your gonna say well metro guard is $5.00 a month so $3 less right but they offer more coverage than metro and that includes cracked screens and water damage which metro guard will not cover and ive seen plenty of cracked screen post on this forum and even on the howardforums so just wanted to share this with you guys and maybe get a discussion going on to see if this is truly a better deal than metroguard insurance.:D

Detuctible: $100.00

good to know.. but metro guard covers water damage.. not a cracked screen through.. still 100 bucks.. if you "drop it in a lake " and it's unrecoverable.. no questions asked.. I think that's all I can legally say here :D

metro them self's no, but the insurance company they go through will, you have to talk to them not metro, they cover any damage.

u really didnt think metro covered their own phone did u? lol and thats weird they told him metroguard didnt cover that ill call to check again.

need to talk to asurion insurance them self, metro people don't know anything, though this was about two years ago when my screen cracked. so maybe they changed the service since then.

I just looked on phoneclaim.com (asurion) and in their terms and conditions pdf under section B part two (exclusions) then f is part 1 under cosmetic damage which says and I quote 'we will not repair or replace any cosmetic damage, however caused, that does not affect the manufacturers intended use. This includes but not limited to:

1. Cracking, marring, or scratching

Not sure honestly if it's covered if something else happens and it just happened to be cracked also.. but damn my swyper is about sore from posting that in tapatalk lol. And also good to know they don't cover nuclear disasters

we will not "repair or replace" ,they never repair or replace parts, they just give you a new phone. My phone was ran over by cars lol so maybe that's why they gave me another one.

You finally said the whole truth ofcourse aslong as the phone dosnt turn on they have to cover it but if i drop my esteem right now and crack the screen they will not give me a refurbish esteem i would have to keep banging the sucker against the floor till it dosnt on so they can cover it. i just called metro guard they confirmed they do not cover cracked screen.

Haha.. I just pictured someone doing that lol.. with mine the digitizer finally gave out.. dead spots in the screen and all... so when all else fails, back it up then Chuck it into a lake..

The whole truth? I never lied. \The pone still turned on, just the screen was busted to hell.

By calling metro guard, you called metro pcs or Asurion?
I've never tried going through metro pcs directly when i have a damaged phone, I always contact Asurion.

I was shocked to find out that if you have a software issue with a phone you could go to a metro store and they would give you another one for 10/30 bucks.

I don't much care for dealing with metro employees, They "in my experience" are rude and argent. They act like they know everything but never seem to be able to give any help or info, When they don't know something they snap at you.
