I did a little research and found this website which shows current data deployment. I knew that they were planning on rolling out 4G in our area, but never have seen my phone switch to 4G while out and about.
So, with this info in hand, I checked my phone while driving the wife to work and we do indeed have 4G just has shown in the map. The sad thing is it stops about 300 feet from my house
. I find this good to know they are working on pushing it out.
I am providing a screen shot of the tests I ran. Test 1 and 5 are 3G and tests 2, 3 and 4 are where it said 4G on my phone. Note, upload speeds are less than impressive in 4G.
The coverage map on the VM website is nowhere close to what this site say's. So I am guessing that unless it's on the VM site it's still in a pre roll out state and not considered official.
