interesting article: android inferior to iphone for customization

" Android ROMs can be great, but again, I feel like half the time I'm downloading them to fix a problem rather than add cool stuff."

NAAAAAAAAA :-p

load of b****x

ive had an ipooh and they are rubbish, hell i preferred my Nokia N95 to it

I kind of lost interest after the bit about every Android phone had a different rooting method. Well of course they do they're different phones. He kind of seemed to miss the point that you only need to know the one for the phone you have. So because all iphones have the same method they're better? All you have to do for pretty much every Samsung is flash a rooted kernel. Doesn't that mean more Android phones have the same rooting method than iphones.

Oh man you should of seen the article i linked last year in the lounge. Ill post a link ttomorrow. Apple fan boys are hilarious.

it says summat about rooting is so easy for the iphone cos its a single click method and ios is well...ios..ie..iphone users have ios and nothin else. rooting an s2 is as simple as rooting a cf kernel, and the beauty of the s2 is we have so much custom rom choice, which is what i love about open source. never thought i'd turn to the dark side, but i'll never own another iphone, no matter how good they used to be.

Well, think of it this way... Android users have more than 1 alternative to root their phones. If one doesn't work, there is still hope with the others. If the author says there are different alternatives to apple's jailbreak methods, then he's contradicting in his claims already, and shouldn't be writing articles thats biasedly one-sided.

Very amusing piece. Next week; how being 5ft is taller than 6ft....
As a former iphone user of two years I can say there's little in the way of customisatrion unless you jailbreak and trawl through cydia for themes, tweaks and add-ons. A far from customisable process I can assure you.
As for one-click jailbreak, yes indeed they can be but also tethered at times which means you have to boot the device from a computer everytime you have powered it down. Joy....
