before you search the internet....
is it a true story???? what do you think??

Well, they found AND retrieved both "black boxes" from the EgyptAir MS804 crash.

Nestled in the middle of this article is something that really jumped out at me...

(Emphasis supplied.)

That would be the worst-case scenario, I think. Terrorism is random and scary, sure, but having an unknown flaw cause this kind of loss...particularly when it's unlikely they'd be able to find the actual cause given the location of the debris...means any of this series Airbus is suspect. And that's an awful lot of airframes.

Those officials are Unnamed & clueless,it's just speculation, the black boxes have yet to be examined.
Don't get sucked in to the fear mongering.............

This is pretty cool and a clever idea and use of the stirling engine.

I have always wondered about this....
neighbor has a little gas generator that he uses when we loose power in area.. during storms, etc...
to help keep fridge and lights .. and a little AC unit going for a few hours. with a few gallons of gas.

I have always wondered.. why not put a similar small generator in a car like a Tesla...
take out half the battery... ad in a 5 gallon gas tank.
that small engine only powers a generator.. to charge the battery as needed.

car can go 90 miles on a full charge..
but 5 gallons will keep it charged... and get it past 400 miles?

my only guess why this would not work..
was that the engine could not power a generator powerful enough to..
keep the car moving at 70 mph or accelerate enough for saftey .. once the battery got to ZERO.

That's already been done with diesel and petrol engines on several production vehicles like the BMW i-whatever. I think it extends the BMW's range to around 250 miles - coincidentally, around what Tesla claim for their latest SUV thing. Using a more efficient engine would of course, be sensible. I don't know why you would want to hybrid a super-inefficient petrol engine simply to achieve the sort of mileage you can get out-of-the-box with a diesel ..
