Root intermittent beeping noises since cog 3.04 flash

I recentley took the plunge and flashed my stock captivate eclair 2.1 to cog 3.04. I was hesitant at first but everything went ok. I couldn't be any happier since I did. Performance is faster, no bloatware, tethering abilities, etc. Battery life about the same, gps still works.
My only question is that I now notice with the screen turned off and the phone in my pocket or shirt, it now makes an intermittent beep/chirp noise. There is no pattern or frequency to it. When I take out the phone to see it, it is on the lock screen. I will turn the screen back off and put the phone back into my pocket, only for it to happen again at some time. Is this something I should worry about or just normal cog 3.04 condition. Other than that I am pleased.
Thanks for the help.

Cog 3.0.4 was the ROM I was using before Serendipity and never saw this happen personally. Never know.
