Help intermittent horizontal noise lines on widgets

I had the same thing happen the first or second day, with the Smooth Calendar widget, and Winamp as well. I removed, and then re-installed the widgets to their respective panels, and the problem has not returned in 2 weeks.
 
just had this problem too on a hd weather app, uninstalled it and installed original htc weather app and all good now. scared the life out of me though, thought my phone was broken:(

have you updated the phone's firmware? (htc issued the first update a couple of weeks back)

i haven't seen this problem since i posted this thread, tho' i'm unsure if it's bacause i'm now using launcher pro, or if it's because of the firmware update, or just luck
 
hi mrqs, my phone is android version 2.3.3 htc sense version 3.0 and software number 1.35.401.1 is all j know:o had that line/noise again today on another app so uninstalled that too:(

I haven't had the problem since uninstalling Launcher Pro.

that's the up-to-date firmware, so obviously htc didn't fix it with that
btw, it's not the widgets' fault, you can just restart sense - no need to uninstall the app

so i guess that just leaves luck as to why i haven't seen the problem since
 
This happens to me occasionally with the HTC Notes widget, mainly just after when I've attached my phone to my computer to sync photos and such. I disconnect and get the those weird lines until I've either changed the profile or restarted my phone.

it couldn't be lp, since i only saw the problem before installing it - i had it in sense

it could be a bad app (or a combo), but i kinda doubt it for a couple of reasons
1) i hardly had any apps installed at that point, while the ones i did, i still do
2) i don't see how any app could have access to anything that could cause this kind of thing
 
Bad code, regardless of intent, is bad code. You also have to remember that the phone has a higher resolution than what most apps are coded for.

As far as Launcher Pro "not" being the culprit, I'm using the same widgets (all having issue were 3rd party/non-HTC) which had the "lines" before LP was installed, while it was installed and had the issue, and after. I would not be so quick to rule it out. This was for the paid version. However it could have also been Home Switcher.

Its not an issue about "access" so much as it is about resolution/environment.

FWIW, I don't remember if a simple reboot was enough to resolve.

Edit - it looks like recent version of LP "Fixed an issue with 3rd party scrollable widgets on some HTC phones". Not sure when it was released, nor if it resolved the "white lines" issue.
