Intermittent sound with modified boot animation

I installed a boot animation per the instructions here (http://androidforums.com/tips-tricks-evo-4g/109120-how-install-new-boot-animation-without-root.html. I left the "Droid" mp3 in the \local\data folder, and did not alter the config file. I'm using Pseudoram's boot file from [Collection] Custom Boot Animations and Splash Screens - xda-developers.

It plays the sound sometimes, and sometimes not. Anyone know why?

I have the Incredible and I know if I shut my phone off with the ringer or media off or on mute when I reboot it doesn't play any sound. Maybe that is what is happening to you.
