Help internal memory issue with 2.2, plz help

i just updated my vibrant to 2.2 froyo using odin, not the custom rom ones, the official update. but now music player, gallery, and video player are unable to see files on my internal memory, only those on the external one... i checked if they are still there and they are, i can open them by opening te folders directly, but the media apps still can't see them. avatar is also not responding. should i do a factory reset?

i've searched this issue on many forums and it seems no one has had it
 
did you do a factory reset immediatly after updating? i've heard many people had issues with froyo once updated, but this was solved by doing a factory reset after updating.
 
i just did the factory reset... it didn't delete all files on internal memory, just removed all apps and settings, and the galery still only sees files only on my SD card ignoring the internal memory
