N8 has a good OS.....you are kidding right...its just a slightly fixed version of symbian that is still far behind android and even iOS in terms of being top dog...

everybody complaining about internal memory... you should've read the specs before buying, it's not like they hide the fact it has very little internal memory.

we all get it, the phone SHOULD be better, well it's not, but you bought it.

If it bothers you that much then root, if you don't want to root then don't.

but htc isn't gonna fix this for you on the desire.

feel free to carry on ranting, plenty of forum space to do so.

..after a recent reset of my phone...I had about 150 i think & that was without any apps put on it...

Yep. That is the total space including /cache and /system partitons, which cannot be used for apps at all.

Its very misleading. In fact its borderline false advertising so stating people cant complain as they read the specs is a moot point.

N8 hardware = very good, one of their best to date....except the 3110

N8 software = not so good...not so good at all..

thats what I was talking bout...nokia REALLY need to shape up with the symbian platform..they will never embrace android like many here and on other boards hope for...never will happen...nokia are like steve jobs...too proud to admit things half the time and never will back down..

HTC say with the HD you get effectively 2gb ram to play with - do you know if this is fact Dan ???

Agree - It wouldve been better for Nokia to go with Android...but Norse Pride is bigger...!

you will only ever see the..what PHNT team I think it is? who do alot of the cfw for the nokias....you'll only ever see android on it due to those guys...you will NEVER see nokia back down and just become a hardware maker...wont happen..

yep ths so true. the internal memory thing is a big joke. around 147mb??? and the specs say 512 mb or something rite. so awful. apart from tht and the poor audio quality DESIRE rocks.

Yep I just went on the website and saw the 512, same as on the box. So yeah, you guys are right it's very misleading.

Shame shame on them, but there are solutions to the problem if it is that important to you... I guess your next problem will be not liking the solutions luckily we have plenty of forum space to rant lol
