Help Internal Memory Question about my GS4G

I purchased the Galaxy S 4G. It was supposed to come with 1Gigabytes of internal memory (or so I thought). However I'm only seeing 217 Megabytes of application storage space. I have looked online and others are reporting that they had 512 Megabytes available and that some phones had a software issue. So my question: Is the amount of storage (217 Megabytes) the correct amount?

I believe more than half of the 1 Gig is reserved for system use and what is left is what you have for apps. Did you try "Managed Applications->All" to see what was taking up all the space?

that is correct. only around 215 is free for apps.... just store apps on sd if you run out.
