I am sure this will have been covered before but I cant track down an answer to my problem.
I have just bought a cheap 8GB MID tablet running 4.2.2 Jellybean, I know that the system takes up some of the memory but when I checked the storage it shows 2 areas of internal memory (I guess these are partitions but I am not sure)
The first says
Internal Storage
Total Space 504MB,
Available 368MB
Apps 81.06MB
Cached data 2.01MB
The second one says
Internal Storage
Total Space 1.82GB
Available 1.81GB
Apps 32.00KB
Pictures, Videos 40.00KB
Downloads 8.00KB
Cached data 148KB
If the tablet is 8GB would you expect it to have more internal memory available even after system install?
Any help appreciated.
