Root internal memory Redux rom

After rooted everything is working fine apart from few issues,

1. From Yesterday stopped to sync gmail & mail, solved it after boot into recovery then wipe dalvik cache......is there any better solution?

2. The internal memory showing 56 mb, is there any way to improve the space?

Thanks
Shyju

that means your dalvik-cache is still on internal memory. If you flash teh add on, it will be moved to SD-EXT, saving you lots of space.

Okay..will do that....bye the way....through recovery wiped the dalvik cache..but that doesn't produce much space.....

No it wont, because you need dalvik-cache for the system to run, so if you wipe it, it builds it back up at boot.

Flashed the dalvik cache add on, and reboot, then the there are many pop ups coming as force close, Titanium back up, htc_ime, gmail asking for a new accout..all then screens empty now...please help.....

Thanks

Nothing restored via titanium, Dodgy parrtition?, made it through Gparted, as per your guidelines...

Most of the market apps force close...

I am not able to that, as titanium not opening, market not opening...just opened once then i tried to update then it's not opening....please help.....anything from market is not functioning...please help.....

Thanks

If you have a titanium backup, do a wipe data / factory reset from recovery, then log into the phone on next boot and download titanium. It should work then.

You dont need to ask "Please help" on every post. I am already helping.

Done as you said, wipe data/factory reset....downloaded titanium backup & quick system info....after that restored few apps, then again market is not opeing...everytime it's showing the terms & conditions and then force close....

Your partition may have somehow broken.

Things to try.

1) Wipe again, reflash rom, reflash add on.
2) Format the partition again.

Got it back, I had updated the market to newer version, I think that was the problem, went to back older one thru Ti. now it is working fine......
So anyone going to update the market please don't do it now wait for a while.......
Also have a doubt......system info shows, internal memory total -148 mb, free 136 mb, is that normal?, sorry being a noob

Thanks

Hi,

could you help me with how to flash the dalvik cache add-on? I downloaded the zip file and renamed it update.zip and put it on the root of my SD card. Next I should boot into recovery and do a nandroid back-up.

Now, before flashing the add on, do I need to do all or just some of the following:

  1. toggle signature verification (as the dalvik cache zip is not signed)
  2. wipe data/factory reset
  3. wipe cache partition
  4. wipe dalvik cache
  5. click on "apply /sdcard/update.zip"
Thanks in advance for your advice.

You dont need to rename anything "update.zip" ever. You chose "install zip from SD card" and browse to it.

Always nandroid backup before flashing anything. But other than that, just flash it. Its easier than flashing a rom.

No need to rename the zip file, copy the file to your sd card, then boot into recovery, install zip from sd card, then select the zip file...thats it...then reboot...

Thanks
