internal memory

Hi all.

THIs topic has probably been discussed many many times. I have had my desire the best part of a year now. Still love it but since some of my mates have moved over to android, I realise even more how poor the internal memory is. One of them has a galaxy S and has hundreds of apps and no SD card. He has been recommending apps. I just don't have the room. I think the 2nd year of my contract is going to be a nightmare

You can improve things a bit by using tricks that allow more apps to be moved to SD. Look in the hints and tips forum.

It is possible to solve internal memory problems completely, but to do more than the above you do need to root, which doesn't suit everyone.

I reckon that I will. When I have a couple of hours spare on Tuesday night, I reckon ill go for it

Why can't HTC do what the guys do who make custom ROMs and make it possible to use the SD as internal

Its a hack really and it relies on external storage for the phone to work properly. Why didnt they just put more memory in in the first place?

I reckon spending too much time looking at blackberry specs
