Help Internal Phone Storage shortage - only 16MB left

hi

i've got an issue with my internal phone storage. just got a system notification that i'm running low on space: i've got 16MB left.

i'm running anodroid 2.2 so i can move apps to SD but:

- all apps that allow Move To SD are moved to SD card already
- i have not got many apps installed at all

no clue what else to do.

i'm thinking that perhaps when i download updates the update files (update.exe or something, if that exists?) keep stored somewhere and i can't delete them?

the biggest apps in order of size that i CANNOT move to SD are:
facebook 17.41MB
maps 11.28MB
google reader 5.86
gmail 4.79mb
voice search 4.45mb
dictionary.com 4.44mb
spotify 3.77mb
astro 3.5mb
market 3.56mb


and then lots of small ones that are either on SD or take up no more than 10mb total (just an estimate).

i got just 70 apps or so showing in my All Apps screen.
is that a lot? i can't believe i'm running out of storage space.

I think what the post above implies is that there is a plethora of information available on this prominent issue with the Desire.

There are means and ways around it, a lot of reading maybe required to get a 'fix' but if You have the desire then the end result will be worth it Problem fixed and a more versatile phone.

Personally, I was baffled at the start but kept reading for a while and familiarised Myself with the options, gained a fair understanding of process and then, came here and asked for help just to be sure ...... and help was plenty Only sorted phone the other day but was worth it
