Internal storage almost full on new phone.

I just purchased the HTC Desire 510 for Virgin Mobile. As soon as I started the phone I checked the internal storage space and it it almost full. It has 2.76 gb in the "other" folder on the phone's internal storage. What is that and how can I get rid of it?

You can't. Pretty much all the space is taken up with the first round of app updates. I suggest getting a 16 gb sd card or larger (class 10 cards are getting cheaper).
