Root [International] Can any custom ROM like liquid smooth for the galaxy S 3 I9300 be installed in a T-Mobile phone?

I am wondering since I am about to root a T-Mobile Galaxy S 3, can a rom that I used for my galaxy S 3 I9300 be used on a s3 t-mobile phone?

This would likely result in a hard brick due to the different chipsets. The I9300 uses the Samsung Exynos chipset while the T-Mobile version uses a Qualcomm S4 chipset. So I would avoid doing that and look for a version specific for the T-Mobile version.

Oh and can the CWM recovery file is unique? I used a CwM recovery for my i9300, would that same CwM and CwM superuser be compatible or it has to have a totally different version?

And what website is my best bet to get the most recent versions for CWM recovery and TWRP and the most recent superuser version, for the T mobile version, the i9300 international version.

It would be awesome to have a all in 1 website for rooting Samsung and any other android

Yep buddy.
I'm talking about CwM superuser and CwM recovery from the International i9300 to t mobile, if the same files are compatible to be used from a i9300 to be used on a t mobile.

Tmobile is a worldwide company though, we have them in europe, was just wondering where you are.
The i9300 will work with any i9300 rom but im worried about where you are

I guess the question is if your T-Mobile version is T-999/T999L, I9300, or I9305 if you look under the settings for your device or while in Odin mode.

I use a GS3 I9300 and I want to root a T-Mobile T-999 and like I typed before, I am wondering if the same files of CWM recovery. And CwM superuser that I used in GS3 I9300, if those files are compatible to be installed in the T mobile T-999 via Odin V. 3.09.

Hopefully a mod knows a better place to ask about the T-999 (if thats a different model)

If you use Google Plus, check out the Rooted Samsungs community where theres a lot of guys using the i9300 in america or (less advanced but more users) try Samsung Galaxy sIII community (the one with the icon of the phone) :thumbup:

The different chipsets lead to different partition maps. This unfortunately means that you will need different cwm recovery file for each device as well as roms/kernels because they're very specific for their devices.
