Instead of fixing permissions from recovery, you can set permissions for that app with any rooted file explorer

" Fix permissions" goes through and sets all the permissions as to whether the file can be read/write/executed.


You can manually do the same from a file explorer

Or if you want to get really basic, you can do it from a command line
