Root [International] Device status Modified?!

Hello,
About 6 months ago i tried to root my phone, i did it succesfull but later that week i decided i didn't need no root.
I did not receive updates while my friends did, but now i found out why, in the settings->Device->Device status it says modified.
I reset the flash counter and when i go in download mode it says this:
ODIN MODE (Is this normal)?
PRODUCT NAME: GT-I9300
CUSTOM BINARY DOWNLOAD: No
CURRENT BINARY: Samsung Official
SYSTEM STATUS: Official
Downloading...
Do not turn off target !!
I guess this is normal, right? I installed an app to check if my phone was still rooted and maybe when unrooting i did something wrong but no, it says triangle away cannot receive root priveleges, did you root and give acces?
I'm on Jelly bean 4.1.2
My galaxy S3 is the international version
So my question is, how can i get the OTA updates back? And set the device status back to official?
Thanks already!

In order to use Triangle Away successfully it needs root access, i.e. you have to be rooted. After using triangle away you can then run a factory data reset (assuming you are still on stock Samsung ROM) and then you should be good.

Can you please provide a tutorial for this?
(In words) Because if i root again, the flash counter will be Yes (1) Again, and the ROM will be Custom.. Right?
Please tell me per step what i should do and use..
Thanks already!

Which carrier are you on? That way we can move this to the appropriate root forum and provide you with the correct root guide.

I'm using the international version of the S3, My carrier is Base (I'm from Belgium).
Sorry if this is not in the correct categorie, i'm new to these forums.
Thanks.

Alrighty, moved over to the international root forum.

Follow that link as how to root your s3.

Once you root, your counter will be at 1 yes, but triangle away will take care of the and reset it to 0.

If it's the same root procedure as the sprint version (US carrier), all it consists of is flashing a custom recovery via Odin and flashing SU via the recovery. Thus meaning you'll still be on the stock rom.

I dont know how much i trust that device status thing, ive had my phone running a custom ROM and kernel yet it has shown it as normal and not modified.

Why not flash one of the lastest firmwares through odin first (you're gonna do it anyway once youve cleared the flash counter with triangle away), it might clear it that way?
