Root [International] DjeMBeY ROM's i9505 - Dummies Guide

Thanks. This is my phones model SGH-M919 model tmobile s4. Can I use this rom?

You have the U.S. minority variant of the GT-i9505. Do not use this guide to flash your phone as there will be a kernel mismatch. Refer instead to the developers thread, here, as a number of SGH-M919 owners have adapted the DjeMBeY ROMs to work on that variant.

Anyone's samsung link working yet? My Sammy account is still greyed out under accounts . Sync disabled.

I use imedia share and that works so it's purely the Sammy account failure stopping me using the built in samsung link features. Nearby devices fails to switch on also.

This has been a constant bug since rooting. All djembey roms have the same result. So wondered if it's something left out of rooted roms?

Ah no i see what your suggesting. I have the Samsung link app but my Samsung account is greyed out with sync disabled beneath it. I cannot see which app other than link I am missing.

Thanks.

Hmmm! :hmmmm:

I can't help you on that one as I have never used the Samsung Account. I believe that there are a number of removed apps that relate to it though. Perhaps some kind soul can point you to precisely which apps these are.

Similar problem discussed here .. http://forums.androidcentral.com/verizon-galaxy-note-2/251644-note-2-samsung-account-sync-disabled.html

However wouldn't you just know it , when I click data usage in setting it FI every time. Grrrrrr.

I do remember it working before and the option people said to change was set by default . So no fix for me :(

knox 0x1 ...explain that to me? Does that include all of us that didnt trip the alarm ?

Would I need to flash the bootloader first or the rom?

Oh do keep up Rudedawg! ;)

As per post #1 and #2, this is an Odin flashable release for those with Knox firmware and locked bootloader, Android 4.3, and will trip the Knox flag on these.

Those on the non Knox firmware can only flash the CWM/TWRP releases as these do not contain the new bootloader and Knox. Currently there is no stock Samsung KitKat release for this.

Currently, the only fully functional KitKat ROM that those with the old bootloader and no Knox can flash is the Echoe Google Edition KitKat ROM, v2.2, Android 4.4.2.

I'm sorry. :( I just can't keep up these days :P

Reading the XDA thread there still seems to be some Wifi issues but seems to be regarding the old bootloader.

So basically right now the only ones able to flash this are those who took the Knox plunge tripping the counter and have the new bootloader.

(or those who are not worried about tripping the Knox flag.)
