Morning all and thanks in advance for any help I get.. im reasonable new to android from iphone and I have many years of jailbreaking and unlocking and repair experience but im stuck in a catch 22 and really need some help... my galaxy s3 I have tried to root will not boot in to clockwork recovery so that I can flash the superuser on to it.. I have used heimdall (as im a mac user) which all seemed to work correctly and the phone rebooted I have copied accross the clockwork.zip but I can only boot to standard android recovery... now I believe this to be because of a file in system/etc called install-recovery.sh reflashing itself.. now all of the tutorial say to just delete or rename this file as if it is that easy!!.. I cant do that as the process hasnt finished and I haved gain root access I cant gain root access because of that file! Massivly frustrating!! Can anybody help?

Wish i could help but i dont use Mac. The method most people uses, roots, installs superSU and CWM.
Change the title to include that you use Mac and good luck

Cheers anyway guys as much as I hate windows I had to just reflash using cf autoroot via odin on a windows computor and theen in the end I managed to get twrp installed and im all good now just wondering what rom to choose and if its worth the hassle of flashing

Well done man.
I hate computers full stop so once i was rooted, i was free. Lots of excellent 4.3 roms around man. Unless you wana stay on a samsung based rom
