Root [International] Galaxy S3 touchwiz Gone!!!! Help!!

I wanted the GS4 launcher and weather so I flashed them (can't include link)
Now touchwiz launcher is gone! Fortunately I had Nova launcher installed and so I can still use my phone. The seclauncher2 files are still there in system/app along with the accuweather apks. They even have the right permissions (rwrr).
And yet my phone says that nova is the only launcher. Is there any way I can get the stock touchwizUX and accuweather back on my phone? I really like the stock launcher and weather! Any help would be appreciated. Additional information: GT-i19300 running stock rooted 4.1.2 xxemc2 with siyah kernel.

So you never got the S4 launcher after installing this? I'm not 100% sure but I'm going to guess the S4 files overwrote the S3 launcher files. Did you do a Nandroid backup prier to installing the S4 files?

No.... :-( actually last time I tried restoring my nandroid backup, my phone went into bootloop. Also when the launcher and widget were gone I removed the overwritten files and flashed the zip again but I got nothing. do you know how I can get the launcher and weather back? (I have searched all over the Internet and I didn't find any way of bring these two back)

If u cant find them and u really need touchwiz im afraid youre gona have to reflash the firmware. Does anyone know if that requires a wipe?

What carrier are you with? You may find a stock ROM to flash in the All Things Rooted Section at the top of this section of the forum.

last two questions then we can end this discussion- if I wipe only cache and dalvik cache, is it possible that my internal memory data (about 7GB) won't be wiped when I flash XXEMC2 again. Also can anyone suggest any alternative to nandroid backup?

i dont think youll lose data mate. I dont wana say you definately wont though.. dont think theres an alternative to nandroid tbh. Try making a new nandroid so you maybe have something to fall back on but i 'think' it should be straight forward. Good luck and let us know how it goes ;)
P.s, will he still have root and custom recovery after flashing stock?

Pps, u can back up all your apps and their data with Titanium Backup (free) just incase

Thanks everyone! :-) this is my first day on an android forum and I am amazed at how helpful the android community is. Also, the immediacy with which people answered my queries was marvelous. Thanks again :-D
