Hello everyone,
I have a pretty major problem. I flashed the minimalist kernel and made a backup beforehand. I've flashed tons of kernels on the verizon nexus as well as my previous droid and never had any kind of problems like this.
After the install was completed it got stuck in a boot loop. Well I assume it was a boot loop. Usually the screen will flicker when it's in a loop but I waited for over 10, maybe 15 min and it was still stuck on the google screen. Therefore I planned to pull the battery and restore the backup and that's what I tried.
That's where I have the major problem. I restore into recovery, but the only options I have is the start screen. If I use the volume keys I can't move into recovery or anything else other than the start screen. It says, "downloading....do not turn off at source." I wait there for over 20 minutes and nothing is happening. The top left has red letters that say "odin mode" It doesn't look like anything is downloading. Therefore I do a battery pull and let it reboot but again it's in a boot loop...well the google screen stays on constantly. So I pull the battery and it's a viscous cycle. What do I do??! If I press the power button while it's on the start screen it reboots, however it is in a boot loop.
