[International / GSM] Battery life

I've just rooted and flashed codename ROM from AOSP. First impressions are its good.

My issue is that the battery life sucks. Standard ROM use to last 24 hours now maybe 10 hours tops. Anyone got any ideas why it's this bad and how to sort this out?

I was actually going to start a new thread on this too, but a bit more broad. Just got my nexus 2 days ago! . I am currently running the Axi0m Crossbreed Monolith B1 Rom... Looking to maximize battery life. Does anyone know the best kernal to run with this to maximize battery life??? i've seen some people say Franco's r89 nightly, but I'm just looking for other ideas

Franco's r66 nightly is insane on battery. It can last you 48 hours with 3+ hours of on screen time. I highly recommend it

I'm trying LeanKernal 2.5 with Axi0m Crossbreed currently, will report back with what I get in a few days

also, make sure you "wipe battery stats" in recovery when switching ROMS and calibrate after

It is an option in recovery under advanced. Also you may find it takes a few days for a the kernel to settle on your phone before your battery gets regular since it has to rebuild cache and whatnot after a clean flash

Reporting back here... I've been getting pretty great battery life with Crossbreed and leankernal(I did upgrade to 2.6). 19-23 Hours now on decently heavy usage... I haven't really tried to not use my phone much to see what it would do on light usage. Screen shots will come after this weekend. I go away for my Army Drill so I won't be using it much and it'll give me a good idea of light usage.
