I have a MacBook Pro. I was able to unlock my boot loader using method 2 here http://androidforums.com/galaxy-nexus-all-things-root/452146-how-root-samsung-galaxy-nexus.html for Mac. I could not get the root part to work. My phone stayed at the Google screen forever. Then I pulled battery, and went to fast boot and tried Method 3 using super boot. I was unsuccessful again, with it getting stuck at the Google screen, with the unlock sign. Are there any other methods for root?
At this point my Nexus is unlocked so Im happy with it for now and can wait for a one click or easier method for root. I just wanted to get the boot loader unlock out of the way so I don't have to wipe my device again.
