So I'm charging my phone and I checked the battery stats and it says charging through USB but its plugged to the wall ? Any ideas

Now its only charging when its off and I'm running cm10.1 nightlies
I've seen my phone saying charging (USB) instead of (AC) while plugged in only at the wall a few times, making me go huh? Usually unplugging it for a few seconds then plugging it back in fixes the issue though I'm curious to find an answer as to why it does that in the 1st place. I'm on stock 4.2.1 myself, not rooted or custom ROM'd.
