[International / GSM] Does Flashing Google Wallet Wipe My Phone?

as I understand it, you currently need to edit a file (packages.xml) if you are not going to wipe before install. Some people are having luck with it, others are having a few issues.

I flashed it and then edited the file as instructed in the xda thread on the app, and I am getting the "optimizing applications" thing on each boot.. and the Wallet app worked, when I paid with it, but also crashed. It's still a work in progress.
