Odex ROM s have their main files moved to another area for faster booting while when you deodex the ROM these files are compiled back inside the APK hope it makes more sense :p:thumbup::thumbup:

Sorry, I meant was that the only difference between the 2 ROMs I posted. I already know the differences between odex and deodexed from my ROM flashing on my EVO 4G.

:confused:Hi all! My wife's GNex is running stock 4.2.1 (she's rooted, btw) but with the basic apps installed, etc. I went through a l-o-n-g learning curve with my GNex when I tried out different ROMS, custom settings and a bajillion apps - over the top enthusiasm, I know. Anyway, I'm running 4.1.2 with JB Sourcery 3.2 and I just love it. It's fast, buttery-smooth, minimal battery drain, yada, yada. I thought that until a custom ROM came along that it was pretty boring installing stock updates. Am I wrong? I certainly am here to learn and I'm sure they're will be others (lurkers or otherwise) that could benefit from a "sales pitch" for the newest Jelly Bean OS. Thanks.
Cheers,
Kevin :)
