I just got my GNex (coming from an EVO 4g). I'm a noob to this phone/ROMs but not a newb to rooting.

What is the difference between these 2 ROMs for the Gnex

Odexed is basically pure stock in layman term bud ..and deodexed is a custom ROM with some

More benefits of having a odex
More space in your data partition
First boot is faster

Odex ROM s have their main files moved to another area for faster booting while when you deodex the ROM these files are compiled back inside the APK hope it makes more sense :thumbup::thumbup:

Sorry, I meant was that the only difference between the 2 ROMs I posted. I already know the differences between odex and deodexed from my ROM flashing on my EVO 4G.

4.2.1 is out for the Nexus 10. Update for GNex should be soon.

Hi all! My wife's GNex is running stock 4.2.1 (she's rooted, btw) but with the basic apps installed, etc. I went through a l-o-n-g learning curve with my GNex when I tried out different ROMS, custom settings and a bajillion apps - over the top enthusiasm, I know. Anyway, I'm running 4.1.2 with JB Sourcery 3.2 and I just love it. It's fast, buttery-smooth, minimal battery drain, yada, yada. I thought that until a custom ROM came along that it was pretty boring installing stock updates. Am I wrong? I certainly am here to learn and I'm sure they're will be others (lurkers or otherwise) that could benefit from a "sales pitch" for the newest Jelly Bean OS. Thanks.
