which is the best app to remove adds from all apps (rooted phone)

Also, even though the app would remove ads, would the space in the app which usually shows ads still be there or will that go too?

Try adfree the rooted app on the Android market.
And yes the ad block or square will be there but blank.

adfree did not work for me - doesn't remove ads for whatever reason. I'm on ICS 4.0.4

did your reboot the phone? you can try adaway they work for me on my Droid X


i haven't seen ads on my phone i guess i could not have any ad apps
but i have seen them on my Droid X so i would imagine they are on the Gnexus apps as well?

Same here, it blocks most everything and updated frequent enough and allows for manual blocks too.

Using 4.0.3...
