[International / GSM] root disapeared now computer wont recognise my phone!

Hi I rooted my GNex using wug fresh 1.4. All was well then I saw a jellybean rom on rom manager so thought I would flash it, then my problems started! First of all I lost my root access! no root apps could gain su permission I checked in the su app its self and that said that it couldnt gain root access either. so I used wug fresh to return it to stock a few hours later I decided to re-root it but when I plugged my phone into my laptopbut it wouldnt recognise it. I have tried allsorts re-installing the drivers, factory reset (on fone), changing usb cables and ports, switching of the pc plugging in the usb then switching it back on everything. as anyone got any ideas btw can no longer go into recovery with returning it to stock (please keep answers simple a stroke made me a bit thick lol)

fixed not sure what I did but by 3am this morning I was once again rooted
teach me not to use rom manager on a samsung device

I hope mine does the same b/c right now it's softbricked. My computer won't recognize the device, and all my backups are gone.
