Good afternoon, folks! I had a root related question I am hoping will be able to be answered here. I just got a GNex and I was wondering about the security of a rooted handset. I have used my fascinate for the past year and I have used the Blizzard Battle.net Account Authenticator for added account security on that phone.
To explain what it does for those who don't use it: It issues a one time use password that lasts for 30 sec before it expires and constantly rolls through new passwords. It is synced by some generated code when you install the app, and when you launch the app, there is a warning about the how rooted devices can compromise the security of the application.
My question is: has anyone here ever heard of this actually happening? I do want to root, never really did much with the fascinate, but I would love to unlock the potential of this nifty piece of hardware.
