The last time I went to the T-Mobile store, the manager let me play with his S3 and I fell in love with the water drop keypress sound. I managed to hunt down the ogg file and get it onto my phone, but I cannot get it to work when I press a key.
What I've done thus far (in this order):
Made sure the sound file plays by testing it with the default music player.
Moved the file to /system/media/audio/ui
Renamed the default file to KeypressStandard1.ogg
Renamed new file to KeypressStandard.ogg
Changed permissions to rw-r--r--
Forced media scan using the Rescan Media Root app
New sound does not play. It's still the old keypress sound when I hit a key.
Reboot the phone.
No change.
I'm sure I did something wrong, put the file in the wrong place, or missed a step somewhere. If anyone could offer some assistiance, it would be greatly appreciated. I've uploaded the sound as well.
