Root [International] Help needed. Bricked LG G2, when google didn't help!

Good day fellow users!

I've been playing with my old LG G2, and as you could have guessed - bricked it (while trying to instal Android L ROM)

The problem: The phone is not booting further the LG logo.

I've tried:
1. Doing a hard-reset, didn't work. After getting to the hard-reset screen - I double-confirm the reset and then nothing happens (waited for about an hour and a half).
2. Entering download-mode, didn't work. It shows the "download mode" logo but nothing happens.
3. Connecting to PC, fast-boot, adb of LG Tool can't "see" the device.

Any suggestions?

By download mode screen you mean the one with the 5 blue dots? Or you mean the true download mode screen that says 'firmware update' with a couple arrows, the progress bar reading 0%

If it's the one with 5 blue dots and you also can't enter recovery, and the phone is not currently recognized as Qualcomm qhsub_bulk in windows device manager...then you have only one recourse left and that is to try and force bulk mode by shorting motherboard capacitors as explained here:

If you already have bulk, it can be fixed by flashing the partitions to restore download mode and custom recovery.
 
Unfortunately it's the one with the 5 dots.
And why is the hard reset not working then? Shouldn't it be some locked partition on the device?
So you're says that the screwdriver is my only chance to get it fixed?

If fastboot mode is not presenting itself when trying to enter download mode or bulk mode is not showing in windows device manager then yes, you are relegated to using the screwdriver.

Can you please explain what do you mean by bulk-mode?

Bulk mode is a phone state where windows tries to mount a bunch of drives which are actually the phone's partitions. It will show up as Qualcomm qhsusb_bulk when its in this mode. It can be fixed in this state because one can dd write .img files to specific partitions which can fix download mode and flash a custom recovery such as TWRP which then gives you options to fully repair the phone.

Well, when I connect it to a Window machine, I can see "LGE Android Net MTP Device" in device manager. But Windows keep telling that it cannot install a driver. I'm not so good with Windows. You think there's a chance?

The LGE AndroidNet is the "false" download mode you are seeing with the 5 blue dots. Unfortunately, it does you no good. I assume you've also tried to turn off the phone and connect it from an off state and also turned it off and attempted to boot it normally and then connect in that state as well.

Caveat there: to fully turn off phone press and hold power button for NO LESS than 15 seconds. Then plug in and see if it shows up in device manager. If that fails to produce a listed device, short press the power button for about 3-4 seconds to turn it back on (though hopefully not in the false download mode state) and try connecting then also to see if it registers as a device even if the screen is black, etc. If no, or if it immediately goes to the false download mode, you're breaking out the screwdriver.

On the plus side, the method of shorting the capacitors has been quite successful on the D802 in particular and especially those who are displaying the false download mode. So there's very much a chance if it comes to that. Also, as one who has done a screen replacement which requires the internals to be totally gutted and removed, I can share with you that the process of shorting the capacitors, while not a total walk in the park, is MUCH more appealing than a screen replacement. The majority of the issue there is getting past the mental scare of tearing into a phone. It's really not that bad to be honest.

That said, if the phone is still in warranty...the choice is yours of course. If it's out of warranty, it becomes a no brainer to put on your Dr. Frankenstein outfit and dig in. :D

And hello again. I managed to get Windows see the the device in qhsusb_bulk mode, i also have lot of new disks displayed. Can you help with flashing the device using Windows OS, the thread you mentioned above is using Ubuntu :-/
 
I cannot help in windows sorry. I hear it can be done but the process looks much more daunting. If you wish to try using linux (loaded onto a usb stick) I can help with getting that set up and then fixing the phone. To do that, it would need to be in IRC rather than the forum. FIXED!

I followed the steps and it worked!!!
1. http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g2/general/lg-g2-unbrickable-fix-real-hard-brick-t2904404 this liknk helped connecting it to PC.
2. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2582142 this link helped me flash the partitions, well actually not, because I didn't have a linux machine next to me. So I found this http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g2/general/unbrick-lg-g2-qhsusbbulkqualcomm-9006-t2939627, which is really a walk in a park, just download and run the file.

Anyhow, now my phone works!

When I connect my g2 Windows shows bulk mode in device manager, however no partitions show up in disk management they did once but I think I deleted one of the partitions by mistake. Does that mean I screwed the phone now? Even tho I shorted the capacitor and got it in to bulk mode. Can I ever get my partitions back?

You need to check which variation of bulk mode you're seeing. Qcomm 9006 is the bulk mode which can be restored, Qcomm 9008 cannot be restored by these means and requires proprietary software to do so. There was a fellow over at xda who was performing that service for free but I'm not sure if he's still doing so if you find you're in 9008.
 
Thx, I short the phone which puts it in bulk mode, but it Installs drivers and goes In 9008 which I think is d loader mode. I know the tung kick guy was repairing 9008 for 30 bucks, but I thought I could see and repair partitions after I shorted the capacitors

Some people get lucky and eventually get 9006 by shorting the capacitors several times while in 9008. So its worth trying. I don't know if Tungkick still does repairs. There was a new guy that was doing them at XDA for free but he announced last week he was no longer interested in fixing them anymore. Not sure where that stands now. If he's not doing repairs, there may not be anybody left who has access to the necessary software.

hii there i manged to short and get back to 9006 .
in windows 8.1 i can see the drives.
in vm runing ubunto when i munt the lg device i cant see the drives.
what am i doing wrong?

Vm's don't always work and the same goes for Ubuntu. Some people have had to switch distros.
 
Same as you'd do with Ubuntu. Just be sure to write aboot, boot, dbi, laf, rpm, sbl1 and tz. Not the ones it says in the xda "no download mode no recovery" thread.
