Root [International] Help needed s3 rom

Right i have a s3 rooted anyway i used to have resurrection remix rom loved it but wanted a change as someone told me s5 sensation was out so i wanted to see what the rom was like and what difference it was having s5 software on a s3 and it started out ok but i have noticed every now and again if your playing a games the phone will go to the main screen with no notice you could be texting someone and it goes back to the main screen. Normally to stop this i turn it off and back on again and it works ok but then 2hrs later it starts again.

My problem is i have tried installing Resurrection remix rom again as they have a new one and it keeps saying there's no data if i try to flash any s3 rom again no data how do i fix this?? I tried re-rooting it with odin and came back same result so then i have to go back to the s5 sensation so i have a working phone im stuck i dont know what to do..

All advice help is welcome and appreciated
 
when you are flashing the phone to a new rom do you wipe the cache and wipe dalvik cache as well and then install the rom. if not that may be your problem because it is still holding the cache files from the previous rom that was installed
This is called dirty flashing and will cause errors like this
 
Yes i wipe data/factory reset then wipe cache partition then wipe dalvik cache then install.

The problem has started since i installed s5 senation its like its classing the phone as a s5.
 
I get warning no file contexts

going to try some older roms see what happens

Well i tried installing roms that i had used before and now i get error status 7 so after 3+hrs i have had to re-install S5 sensation just so i can use my phone
 
erm i dont know.

If you mean the boot recovery its
CWM-based recovery V5.5.0.4 : : CF-v1.5

I did install fox hound and that changed the recovery but i didnt like the rom so went back to the s5 one then re-rooted a few days later thinking it would sort it ie class it as a just rooted s3 but it didnt then noticed the recovery had changed so had to re-re-reinstall s5 sensation just so i could use the phone

if i try and install other roms it either says no context or status 7

I got abit board today so was searching the forum and came across that S3 neatrom installed the latest philz rom to install neatrom and its working well it installed it so im going to see what this is like then if i dont like will try again with others and see what happens..
 
I was saying that I am going to have to install this rom to try n replicate ur situation ur expressing
U may want to try updating to Philz touch recovery thru odin n if any rom that works I use Philz to make a back up
 
Yeah i installed philz recovery and its working i can install other roms currently running s3 neat rom
 
Not a problem bro and if it was what u felt was useful u can hit the like button best answer for whoever has done u well . Its how we all get positive user ratings..hows it working for ya...
 
You should go into recovery and do a nandroid backup of your working system and then when you come into problems like you did, you could simply revert to your previously working system by restoring. Then you have more freedom to experiment because you have a safety net of sorts.

I second that notion thank great idea n save to ext sd card .
