Root [International] Hi all

Hi all, have joined the s4 family,have rooted it but having trouble getting the PhilZ_touch jflte.tar.md5 file to get me to recovery ,odin is not getting to the green PASS stage,phone goes off then on but no recovery at the end.appreciate any help thanks

Make sure you are trying to install the correct Philz version for your device.
If so, have you installed the Samsung USB drivers? (Current version is 1.5.33.0 as far as I'm aware)
If you have Kies installed, make sure there are no Kies related processes running on your PC. I don't even install this tosh, only the USB drivers. If you have it, I would uninstall and just install the USB drivers.

also are you getting into download mode properly on the device:
1. Start Odin 3.09 on your PC
2. Click AP button and browse for Philz tar file
3. Power phone off completely
4. Enter download mode (press POWER until vibrate, then press the VOL-DOWN button immediately, then VOL-UP to confirm)
5. Connect USB to phone+PC. Odin's ID:COM should then turn blue to show that it's seen the device
6. Click the Start button to flash

Robert should then be your mother's brother.

Thanks guys got it done,will be looking to see which rom to put on this great phone...
