Root [International] MIUI v5 For GS3 (i9300)

Hi all,
Just wondering if anyone's using this rom at the mo?
I looked at it a while back but disregarded it at the time as there were reports of 'sudden death' of GS3s when using the ROM. Not sure if this is fixed now or not even though I have looked around MIUI Official English Site to no avail.

Anyone know anything?

I had a look at that thread and I'm assuming my kernel's ok as the ones mentioned that have been tested and are ok start XXELLx and mine is XXEMD3.

Checked my eMMC and it is the chip that could be affected by SDS.

My recovery is PhilZ Touch 4.00-b21 based on CWM 6.0.2.7 (they mention 4.00-b04)

I'm assuming from that thread and the info posted above that I'm good to go for installing MIUI v5?

Sorry if this seems like a daft question. Not normally this hesitant with custom ROM as I've installed loads of different custom roms for the past 3 years on my different phones but not had the worry of a SDS based on the ROM I install.

Yep, I'd say your good to go - nandroid first natch.

Just in case, since you're using Philz do a EFS backup if you haven't already - be under Custom Bu and Restore. And do one using kTool as well!

Saves a lot of hassle if a flash corrupts your EFS, which borks IMEI and ain't good.
