Root [International] No-frills cpu control settings?

Think im gona return to full stock.
Even just rooted with custom kernel, im gettin bugs.
Does the s3 REALLY need modded yet.
Watch out for de-ja-vu here :)

Well for my reasons (which may not be yours) ;)

  • Theme - Prevent looking like something designed by ELC
  • Battery performance - Undervolt
  • Use SDcard for game data
  • Remove stupid Blocking mode notifications
  • Update Hosts file to stop spam and adverts
  • Take advantage of Dev community fixes
  • Allow full backup and restore
  • Modded MultiWindow
  • Modded toggles
  • Clock Sync
  • SIM Unlock
  • Tasker Tasks

lol well i didnt unroot it but decided to run it (usualy) at 1.5ghz with stock rom until a really stable vanilla rom is finalised.
1.5 just seems to be the sweet spot on my phone :)

The best CPU settings for me using the no-frills CPU app is probably different then yours. What you want to do is download a CPU monitoring app! I used the A1 CPU Tool app. The app tells you battery & RAM statistics, voltage & temperature of the battery & CPU. That way you can see the way you're CPU normally operates. What govern is used normally. My Kyocera hydro is an on demand CPU single core, & runs between 245Mhz to 1.024GHz. Normally running at the max almost all the time. So what I did was set the govern to conservative that way it will stay at the minimal clocked frequency unless a faster frequency is needed. Then I set the max frequency as high as it would go 1.024GHz & the minimal at 745Mhz. That way it will run just slightly under what it runs normally.

Better gaming, faster loading & longer battery life all around. I don't change the scheduler setting. I Hope this helps.
