Root [International] omega Rom

This is one of the first Roms to have come out for the s4, I didn't flash it at first as it had a few issues and I didn't trust the recovery options at the time. Well I finally got to flashing it.

There have been a few issues around mf8 and Wi-Fi not working, so I personally would recommend doing a complete wipe, flashing pre rooted stock by djemby(see ironass's thread) then through recovery flash omega v7.0.

Personally since I got a proper flash working, it's been flawless for me, I wanted the mod to stop sms converting to mms among others so I'm quite happy now :-) battery went down quite quick initially this morning but I think that was because play store was set to automatically update apps, since then, after just over 12 hrs since flashing, 9 since unplugging, my battery is around 40% with reasonable usage, hopefully it will bed in a little better soon :-)
 
For any one interested, 7.1 has been put up...it appears the only change is aroma installer....not tried it but I'm guessing it may allow you to flash different kernels etc in start up!
 
Not flashed it yet but there is an update available, if anyone here is actually using this Rom! Lol personally I'm getting pretty good battery life,I think better than I had been with djembys as I've not had to change my battery over at work since Monday! Which for me is unusual!

Firstly just thought I'd say ice found this Rom to be rock solid stability wise and battery has been great too, I'm still on mf8 but considering this update...I've also flashed 3 min mod and nfc screen off :-)

Personally I'm still on v7.0 as I've been playing around with various mods etc (currently got a despicable me minion battery icon :-P )

Had added v10 details before realising it was for the 9500 doh
 
Can you do me a favor and check if samsung link is working? Also if samsung account under settings has sync enabled? Current effort from djembey has this greyed out and looking at an alternative.
 
I don't actually use my Samsung account and have actually frozen the appropriate parts, however, sync for Samsung is an option and v7.0 (mf8) certainly came with all Samsung bloat!I think the latest versions come with aroma to allow you to choose which bloat you wanna add! Pretty sure this Rom will have what you are after! :-)
 
i have been a long follower of omega rom(from the s2 to s3 and now the s4) currently using v10 and i love it having a few issues but i dont think its related to the ROM would need to do a wipe and start from scratch.
 
May try it. Djembey has had its issues but the most annoying one I cant fix is the Samsung account has sync disabled meaning I lose a few features. I got around it as there are alternatives to allshare on google play. I guess when you root , everything is a workaround. :)
 
Not sure if I should post this here (lots of dust on this topic ;)), but I've installed v12 of this rom last week and I like it!

There's only one thing that bothers me and that's the new camera app (Android 4.3 Camera). I can't seem to find the setting that allows me to store the pics and videos on my SD card... Am I missing something, or should I be looking in the generall settings (which, ofcourse, I've already done without success...).

Anybody using this app and knows how to fix this?
 
If the 4.3 camera has been pulled from the i9505G, Google Edition, firmware, then there is no option to save the camera photos/videos to the extsdcard I'm afraid. One of the drawbacks of the GE, Nexus-like, firmware.

However, you could install FolderMount, free from the Play Store, to force saving to extsdcard.
