Root [International] Out of space when installing any applications

Hi, im having problem installing any applications. It would say not enough space/out of space eventhough i still have 8.75gb free internal storage. I remember to have this problem after installing apps2sd.I never had it to work as it gives me the same message so i uninstalled it and the next day i tried to install an app, Thats the time a realized there something wrong.I think that app might have messed up something

Yeah app2sd doesnt work on the s3 mate.. is it definately uninstalled?

Yea I did make sure its uninstalled. I also did clear cache, dalvic cache but that didnt help. I hope there's a solution before I re-flash again the ROM as my last resort :(

Edit: Ok i tried to install some other apps, strangely i was able to install. But some other app that i was able to install before now i cant install anymore like the Tapatalk, directory bind. Unknown sources is ticked. Tapatalk and directory bind are not paid(again I was able to install it last time without the"not enough space" error message) Im puzzled now

Cool. Glad youre sorted mate. Ive never read about app2sd doing damage like that tbh but i know it doesnt work on phones that use memory in the way the s3 does
Ive heard theres a way to "fool" the s3 into saving apps to external sd instead of the internal one but i dont have a link mate sorry

I was just going to ask what other apps could do the job. I tried directory bind but im not sure if i upgrade to a new rom it would mess things up like what just happend awhile ago. Well I dont need to worry for now since i dont have much apps to install yet but if you happen to remember the link it would be awesome ;)

I use directory bind and don't have any problems restoring with titanium when changing ROM's. I don't think it works on 4.2 firmware though.

In reply to the original post: this problem is not caused by apps like apps2sd. It sometimes happens when you re-install an app that had on the phone earlier. The previous version of these apps have left odex files on your phone that cause the no-sufficient-memory message. Use a file manager with root access, search for "odex", find the odex files that belongs to the app you want to install (you can tell by the name, most of the time), delete it, and you will see that you can now install the app. Not all apps leave these odex files, which explains why you where able to install some apps, but not others.

Sorry to hear that you reflashed already, that solution is like shooting cannonballs at a fly. Next time use this method. Much easier.

Hi! I have a Samsung galaxy prevail s3 and am getting the same message.
I wanted to update my phone and downloaded an app to back up everything, thinking that I could free up some space by getting rid of apps that were not used that came originally came with the phone. When it came time to restore my Android files were left in. the sd. Tried several times to get them back by using the same app to restore. I had downloaded the freebee. It would restore my app and Google's apks--wouldn't let me pick and which ones--but wh
en I went to restore the data it told me that they didn't do that function on the freebee; that I needed to buy the premium app for that...
So now my sd is completely full, the internal memory is still full, my RAM still has some room--around 1/2, I think...:banghead:
