Salesale, XXELLC NeatROM Full*(4.1.2) will Aroma mods (XXELLA Aroma Mods v1.4a) work on it?

BTW thank you, within half an hour of un boxing my shiny new SGS3 was rooted and had your latest full ROM on it. Once again it is a triumph :)

right now i have TW 4.1.2 and Sydia kernal/CWM "based" recovery........

.....Gwan, I'll stay up another half hour. I bet your wanting to know if Nandroid back ups are compatible between different types of recovery ?

do i need to know that?
mair basic. which link should i use, do i need to back up app data, wipe? ive got a nandroid (from CW lol)
do i save the rom on root of Sdcard0 or Ext?
can i flash sydia after it?
what the hell is an "aroma"or whatever and how do i use them.
your lists of bloat.... are they whats NOT included or do i gota freeze all the crap myself?

hAvE
pAtIeNcE ;)

Download neatrom lite 1.5 from post #35 and aroma mod 1.5a, I'd put them on the internal sd as some recoveries can have problems recognising the external sd so unless you're certain it works play it safe.. Now make sure you have everything backed up and then boot into recovery and
1. wipe cache
2. Wipe dalvik cache ( in advanced in recovery)
3. Wipe data/ factory reset
4. Format system in mounts and storage
5. Choose install zip from sd
6. Choose zip from internal sd
7. Find the neatrom lite 1.5 zip and flash
8. Reboot your phone
9. Boot back into recovery and flash the aroma mod zip (no need to wipe anything this time). This will give you options off various mods and kernels etc to choose from so just select the ones you want and continue.
10. Reboot
11. Reinstal downloaded apps and data.

what if i dont wipe man? so rom in Sdcard0? suppose im makes sense but im sure wlth thls CM it backs up to external so will flashin im work from Ext be best.
also....what makes this rom great?
Alan (listnin to Vitatalic) ;)

You might get away without wiping but sometimes it can cause stability problems with conflicting data and settings between the old and new firmware. If you can guarantee cwm recognises your external sd it won't matter which you put it on. It'll flash just the same from the internal or external.
The Rom is a good all rounder. Stable, quick, smooth and easy to customise with the aroma installer. Plus it comes with the added bonus of a helpful dev who's happy to help out with any problems you may have

Is there any chance you'd be able to add this mod to the aroma installer the next time you update your Rom please?
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2060050

It needs to get flashed before jb domination or it messes with the multi window tab theme, although jb domination seems to be flashed last so I guess it won't be a problem.
lol, now i see what it is. sorry mate. that mod is already included in v1.5.1. try this:
clear data in settings/apps/all/com.sec.android.app.flashbarservice
reboot
open app drawer and find multiwindow control

Thanks mate. I'm sure the multi window app didn't show up in my app draw until after flashing the mod. Although I was probably just being blind. It wouldn't be the first time I've missed something staring me in the face, I think I'm going to ask for a refund on my laser eye surgery:D

thanks SG, so can someone explain "aromas" plz.
do u flash them normaly after flashing the rom?
also does the main rom come with Gapps?
thanx

Yeah the rom is stock based so it has the play store etc in the main Rom. A lot of the Samsung bloatware has been removed but you can install them using the aroma mod if you wish.

The aroma mod is basically a zip file you flash in recovery after the main Rom which contains different mods. You can pick and choose which of these mods gets installed. The main purpose of the aroma installer is to make flashing mods a bit easier as instead of having to download and flash them all separately they're all in one file.

thanks buddy. so i just did a nandroid again and it said "no ext sd found, skipping" does that mean the backup is on my int' sd? and is that safe when i wipe?
also, im sure ive asked this before but where would MyBackup Pro backups be saved so i can make sure thats safe (would it be safe on int sd?
after these questions, ill do full wipe n flash the rom (why doesnt the .zip get erased during the wipe... is there a partition on the s3)

one more question, is the rom on 1st post the best or are there updates.
thanks man n sorry if ive asked anything before... i have a bad memory problem

The easiest way to check where the nandroid was made is to look in my files. There should be a folder on either the internal or external called clockworkmod which should have your backup in.

The phones internal sd is safe when performing a wipe with a custom recovery, only the memory where apps are stored gets wiped. It's only the stock Samsung recovery which will wipe the internal.

The Rom on the first page is an old build so go for 1.5 which is the latest.

thanks mate... and salesman.
see you on the other side lol..........

ahh the rom flashing via CW buzz.... its been a while.....

Hey thats me on other side, all went smooth. Mybackup was slower than a week in the jail.
So without meaning to offend Salesman, whats the difference? 1st thing i noticed (before restoring apps) is a lower quadrant score than stock.
So whats the main advantage? (And whats "hot reboot")
It just seems like TW tbh (bear in mind, im stupid)

Are the Aromas the main advantage?

I dont really want any TW other than the pull down toggles and maybe multi-screen. What aroma should i go for and do i just flash it normaly?
Is the kernal of this clockable.. if not, can sydia be flashed into it?

Big thanx to salesman n SG :)
