I did wonder if it was some kind of conflict with the recovery; I tried all three recovery options in the installation but no joy.

...have you unticked Enable AOSP Lockscreen in the Lockscreen Mods Sub section of General Mods in NeatRom Control (which is in My Device section of Settings)? Then reboot.

I have now! That did it. :D

Thanks dude; the Lockscreen is the feature one deals with more than pretty much anything else on the phone, so when you don't have it the way you want it it's a source of constant annoyance.
 
Think I'm going to re-install NeatROM so I can adjust what software gets installed and which options I select in the NeatROM installer.

Which firmware does the 'FW Upgrade' option refer to? I left it unselected last time; what difference will selecting it make?

Sale; I just installed your latest gem, NeatROM v7.9, and my phone is flying! Fine work, sir. Thank you. I skipped a couple of versions (upgraded from v7.6) and this one really seems quicker and smoother.

Just one thing that's odd though: all my contacts now have a little 'HD' on the call button and when I swipe right to call them it says in the green bar VoLTE.

It's pretending to make calls using Voice over LTE but as far as I know my GT-I9300 doesn't have 4G.

What's that about then?

I'm a little out of my depth here; so just to clarify - do I change the line in feature.xml or in feature.xml.bak?

In your text you say to open feature.xml but the screenshot shows feature.xml.bak at the top :confused:

I tried changing the line in both but just got an error both times; I'm guessing that's because of the permissions. Forgive my ignorance but what do I change them to and how?

Presumably I also have to restore the permissions once I've made the change.

Worked like a charm.

Though I was under the impression that this related to non-existent 4G hardware; the line:

<CscFeature_Common_EnableHDVoiceDuring3GConnection>

would suggest that 4G isn't involved. If I were to leave the switch on 'true' would this actually give me HD Voice calls over 3G?

I know it was there several version back on I9300 NeatROM AOSP v7.01 the last one I had installed on my phone.
