Root [International] Screen freeze than crash issue on 4-23 carbon 4.4 kk

I am having this annoying issue..
I am using my galaxy opening any app and then all of a sudden my screen freezes and chashes and then it goes to the lock screen mode. It is like if the screen reboots itself. :mad:
 
I started having the same issue with 4-17 carbon kk ROM. Than I made a nandroid backup, than I did the factory reset and flashed the 4-23 carbon kk ROM. Restored all of my apps and data with titanium backup. After that everything was fine until again the annoying screen freeze issue appeared again.

The only app I am using that hibernates my apps Is greenify,
Might it be a virus or malware?? :confused:
 
Nah not malware.
What gapps are you using? Try Booting into safe mode and see if it still happens.
I'm on 3-28 and it's fine. I found battery life bad with the more recent nightlies and now I'm trying to decide on another rom to try next :thumbup:
 
I am using Google apps standard 4.4.2. Mmm how do I put my ROM in safe mode:confused: never heard of that on a galaxy before.
Nightlies ROM, I am going to vouch for that ROM now. If I still keep having this issue I will vouch for Nightlies.

I think turn the phone off, then turn it on and while it's booting keep tapping the menu button until it boots and you should see the words "safe mode" at bottom of the screen. All it does is disable all your downloaded apps so you can find out if it's one of them causing it.
To get out of safe mode just reboot :thumbup:
 
Hey Allen, I am still having this annoying issue, this is what exactly happens,
I notice that I want to slide down the notification drawer the screen just freezes. And then the screen resets it self to the lock screen.

Might it be because I have like 6 or 8 apps opened in the task killer. And when I want to terminate the apps in the default task killer my screen freezes and comes back to the lock screen.

It is not always that I have this issue. But it has been quite bothering me.

And I did try for the first time the safe mode feature, and actually I only saw 4 apps on the desktop,
Mx player
Whatsapp spy
Groove racer and
Titanium Backup
I uninstalled 3 apps except for titanium backup which is the Ultimate must have app for root users.
And Mx player I reinstalled it from the app store. That is the only app I have been using for video playing.
I have 126 user apps installed which I always use titanium backup pro for constant backup of my apps and data.

I only use Greenify as an app hibernator. Which is an app you Allen recommended to me and has been working like a charm. :thumbup: :confused: ;)
