Root [International] Screen Mode help

Hi all , I have just rooted and installed the cyanogenmod rom. However I have lost the option in settings to change the 'screen mode'. Anybody know of an app that could do this or how to re enable it without having to revert back to the samsung stock rom ?

Im not sure mate but id guess that its part of touchwiz. Its a strange setting that because the US s3s dont have it. I like it set to Dynamic. Wonder if theres any other ways to alter the display "temperature"...
Id like to have more control over it :)
 
yeah it's got the same settings and a few extra. Rather than being in the display tab under settings you go to 'advanced' then 'screen' and it has the same colour dynamic options.
 
Cool. Can i hijack this thread then mate and ask if anyone knows how to get more control over the display without flashing a new rom?

Perseus kernel has good control over the screen colours. Probably too many for me. Most of its over my head so I just turn on the master sequence which is an improvement to me.
 
Thanks mate. So it goes as deep as the kernel. Any way to control it with Siyah that youve heard of? Is Perseus overclockable?
 
Yeah tried latest Perseus but way too much to tinker with and way over my head - needs a dummies guide but I ain't asking on xda ;). Back to Siyah for this dummy :)
 
Might try Perseus but Saltire makes it sound scary lol. Im not the sharpest tool in the AF box :)
so is there an app to control the display for perseus?

Yeah just use stweaks. There's lots of settings in the screen tab but I just tick enable master sequence which kind of auto sets a few of the options. Just with master sequence ticked I think the colours seem more natural than Samsung settings.
 
Ahh, ive never even played with the STweaks Screen tab. Thanx mate. Hmm the Touch Boost Level setting seems interesting. Im gona have a play with that :)

Does Perseus allow the charge current settings too?

Thanks mate. One more question, if i use the Neat Rom aroma to flash Perseus and skip all the other aroma options, will everything stay how i have it set or will i have to set each aroma option again? (Hope that makes sense lol)
 
You can just skip everything you don't want. However if you chose jkay the first time you'll have to choose that again or it'll make you choose some things after that'll overwrite it. So it might just be easier to download Perseus.
 
Thats me Perseus'd and Stweaks has loaded all the new settings.... wow... i know what you guys were talking about lol :confused::confused: in the XDA thread the dev says he doesnt belive in giving the user too many options lol!!
Even the Power controls offer a far higher charge current but my charger is only 1200mA so i guess i cant do any damage unless i bought some kind of supercharger lol?
Ive changed the screen to the master thing and my 1st impressions are that white looks pink. Duno if its my eyes/brain having to adjust or if its coz my display is quite heavily burned in but ill have a play with the settings when the mrs goes to bed lol.

Perseus is an excellent kernel! The sound tweaks are good as well but like you say there are absolutely tons of options to play with!
 
Yeah lol its kinda daunting mate. I havent even begun to experiment yet. Do you know if/where theres a setting like the Touch Boost one for siyah which tells the cpu what speed to jump to when screen is touchd? Cant find it :beer:
